Rifle Water Park

Rifle got this cool water spray park. We went and checked it out. At first Beckett wasn't so sure about it- but then he had a blast. Even though he was shivering, he didn't want to quit playing. Too bad this park didn't open up until the end of September. Beckett is fascinated with dogs. That is the only sign he'll do- but he does it all the time- He'll sign dog anytime he sees them, hears them, or wants to see or hear them.

Dan had to help beckett turn the water on- beckett kept trying to stomp on it- but couldn't get it by himself.

Random Pictures

He just learned how to fold his arms for prayers (in this picture he was 14 months). Except for he is constantly folding his arms and can only stay like that for less than a minute.

He's so proud of himself for climbing on our fireplace. He often stands up there- I think he likes the higher vantage point.
He found this "megaphone" in the kitchen cupboard and was making noises through it.

He loves pulling out the dresser drawers- the bottom one he likes to sit in.

I love his pooh face here- he's pushing a little too hard I think. He was trying to drink the smootie from a cup by himself.

15 months

15 month check up 10/25/2010 Beckett was:
19 pounds (< 3%)
30 inches (10-25%)
19 1/2 inches (75%)

Rifle Falls-10/16/2010

It was kind of funny because they were saying they didn't like bats- and as I approached the cave I was like "There's a bat in the cave" and then realized they might think I was meaning the kind they were afraid of. But no there was just a random plastic bat there- Beckett liked banging it around.

The Feher family came and visited with us for a weekend in October. We love having visitors. We went to Rifle Falls, the water spray park, and played games.

9/29/2010

Beckett has been getting better about eating. This night in particular he just was playing with the noodles. He wouldn't stop putting them on his head.

Beckett and I also went for a short walk in Rifle's Riparian Zone. He loved playing in the dirt and picking up all the branches, leaves, etc. He really wanted to go play in the creek.

Moab- 10/20/2010

Dan wanted to go to Moab for his "last bike ride" (in Moab this season). He finally convinced me to go with him for a day trip. It took a lot of convincing. That's a lot of time in the car- with a baby that doesn't travel well. The weather was beautiful. We've been so lucky to have such a nice warm fall.

After shuttling Dan to the top of his bike trail, Beckett and I got lunch and then went to a cool park. They had this music area with all this different materials that you could bang on etc. So much fun!

The past forever

This past month Dan and I celebrated our birthdays. Dan turned 32 this year! Here is a picture of the lovely meal he made for my birthday. I always love it when I get help with dinner. I've been keeping busy with taking pictures and coaching cheerleading/ going to all the games it requires.
We went to our church's Trunk or Treat this year. Beckett was his favorite animal- a dog. We tried to get a couple pictures before we left but no smiles from him. He of course loves the candy.

Grandma and Grandpa Mickelson came and stayed with us a couple days. They helped us with a couple home repairs. They brought Beckett a couple of tennis balls- one of his favorite toys. He loves to roll it under the couch. Here Dan was showing him how to play baseball.
